How to recruit volunteers

Lisa Krupp        Martinez, GA

Here is a simple idea.  Many clubs struggle with abusing the same volunteers and helpers for club events (which are members of the club).  How do you tap into other club members to get them to captain teams, help at club events, etc.?  Offer free clinics from your existing clinics. It can be anything. If the club has cardio clinics, offer 2 free clinics to the person that offers to captain.  For men's/women's league captains, let that captain have 1/2 of M/W clinic for free.  It solves 2 problems: it is easier to find captains for teams and it is good PR for the club clinics and club.
